our commitment to research

separator

Applied Behavior Analysis was founded on the onset of creating an empirical database to use in clinical treatment. This may seem insignificant to most. However, continuing to contribute to this database will not only hold Morning Star to the highest research standard while working with each individual, but also will allow us to multiply our services and ideas beyond the reach of of our current caseload.

This is not a new philosophy that Morning Star has adopted, but one that has been lived, study by study, program by program. Morning Star partners have been involved in monumental studies that have affected the way people treat people with disabilities, including the ordination of the token economy, pain and aggression studies, and teaching skills and communication to populations that were once thought impossible.

helping people

By creating quality programs and training, we strive to not only enhance and change the lives of the people that we serve, but also to change the way healthcare workers and direct support staff view the potential of their individuals.

Using the scientific method we can, display stimulus control over our interventions and thus display tangible improvement.

in classroom/program design

Expanding upon the principles of the science, we are able to engineer environments that are tailored and designed for the individual to succeed and grow.

Morning Star partners have developed both day-training and classroom models that expand independence and peer supports. This method, called the 11 Categories of Independence, has gone on to change the lives of many, being adopted by multiple day-trainings and exceptional education classrooms.
